A study on social assistance in Turkey in the post 2002-period

In this study, the main goal is to evaluate the social aids made after 2002 in Turkey. The study examines the adequacy and quality of social assistance and how it is done. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the social aids made after 2002 in Turkey in the context of the social state principle. In the study, the adequacy and quality of the social aids, and the institutions and organizations that provide the social aids are mentioned. In addition to the fact that social assistance is a requirement of the social state, the relationship between social assistance and poverty is also mentioned. From the past to the present, social solidarity and cooperation has always been an important issue for our society. Although it is seen that this culture of cooperation and solidarity maintains its importance in every period, it is also seen that aid is made more systematically in parallel with technological developments. It is a fact that globalization has an effect on the social state and also transforms the social state. The subject of how this effect of the globalization process affects the welfare state and social assistance has also been included in the study. Social assistance, which we can call a view of being a social state, and which includes a wide variety of applications, aims to help people in need, on the one hand, and tries to establish social balance by accepting the existence of income inequality in the society, on the other. Social assistance in Turkey; central government, local governments and non- governmental organizations. In this study, information about this subject is given. In this study, many tables were used to make all these subjects more understandable. The tables contributes to the holistic approach of the study.
