Abstract (EN)

Foreign Direct investments in the-present day world are the very important capital resources of countries, especially emerging markets. These investments provides not just capital, but also technical know-how, management and marketing know-how; and have positive effects on economic growth, employment, labour productivity and exports.The goal of this thesis is to research FDI determinants for Turkey which try to join European Union as a member.On applied econometric analysis are tested several variables that is thought efficient on FDI for Turkey. Chosen variables are Gross Domestic Product (GDP), openness, exchange rate, civillian rights, and a dummy variable that is new law on FDI at 2003.In this study, econometric analysis and results are presented in detail at the analysis and conclusion chapter of this paper.
