Abstract (EN)

In the period following the global financial crisis, besides the ultimate goal of the central bank to maintain price stability, targeted to protect the financial stability. After the global financial crisis, liquidity management and credit markets, which has gained importance with the need for closer monitoring of the central bank, consideration of the macro financial risks, taking into account, the importance of policy instruments has increased in the required reserves.With the new component of the new policy, the reserve policy which is found in the main center of the component, suggest the importance of the bank?s balance sheet. Very serious tasks installed to the reserve requirement policy. These are, the use of the liquidty management of reserve requirements instead of open market operations, tightening of credit volume for the required reserves during the periods of decreasing capital inflows weakened by serious tasks, such as loans, reducing the risk of sudden stops installed.At first glance, the increase in the reserve requirement ratio may thought that will increase the costs in Turkish Banking System and negatively affect the profitability of the system. To say it clear, the affect of the reserve requirement policy to the banks balance sheets must be revealed.In this thesis, taking in to consideration of not only the price stability but also the financial stability of Turkey, reserve component of the policy of the highlights of the new policy's reflections of bank?s balance sheets are analysed and described by usingeconometric model.Key Words:Central Bank, Balance Sheet of a Bank, Monetary Policy, Component of the New Policy, Required Reserve.
