Abstract (EN)
In our research, it has been aimed to make a study of self-esteem and decision-making models in decision-making and levels of hardiness of instructors who work at physical education and sport branches of universities in the sense of some variables.The universe of our research has comprised from 1105 instructors of various status who work at physical education and sport branches subsisted at 51 universities in Turkey in 2009-2010 academic year. By reaching 52.48 per cent of this universe the data has been obtained from 580 instructors. Demographic information of instructors has been determined via 12 questioned `Personal Information Form?; decision-making models of them via `Melbourne Decision-Making Scale? advanced by Mann and Ark. (1998) and level of hardiness of them via `Rathus Hardiness Inventory? advanced by Rathus (1977). The data has been evaluated with statistical packaged software and level of significance has been scored as p<0.05.In the research, while impact of administrative role variable to level of hardiness has been observing, in terms of self-esteem and decision-making models in decision-making, statically significative differences has been observed with variables of age, height, weight, academic appellation, academic term of office and working department.(p<0.05) It has been stated that hardinesses of instructors are upper of medium-level; as careful decision-making models of lower dimensions of self-esteem and decision-making in decision-making are higher; cautious, dilatory and panic decision-making models are lower.As a conclusion, the more and more the hardiness levels are, self-esteem and careful decision-making model in decision-making has scaled up positively; as for cautious, dilatory and panic decision-making models, they have scaled up negatively. Besides; rising positively of the levels of hardiness and decision-making models of instructors who are in progress of academical hierarchy and studying in administrative branch have been observed. It has been of the opinion that having capability of habilitate in terms of levels of hardiness and decision-making models of instructors is important in the sense of physical education and sport profession.
