The perception of the Iran Islamic Revolution in Islamic journals in Turkey

The Iranian Islamic Revolution, which took place under the leadership of Khomeini in 1979, had a great impact on the Islamic world. The Shah of Iran took the West as an example in many matters and carried out studies in this direction. The Shah's Western-style rule was not wanted by the religious scholars and the public, and therefore a great revolution was carried out by the Iranians against the Shah. As a result of this revolution, Iran's form of government changed. The aim of our thesis is to reveal and analyze the perception of Iran and Shiism in Islamist magazines published in Turkey after the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the change it has undergone until today. The Islamic Revolution in Iran, which is considered one of the most important events of the twentieth century and changed the name of Iran to the "Islamic Republic of Iran", created a serious wave of excitement in the Islamic world. It is possible to say that various positive and negative approaches towards the Revolution were adopted in the Islamic world. It will only be possible to detect the process of change in ideas about the Revolution, Iran and Shiite thought in Turkey thanks to this and similar publications. Analyzing the reflections of the Revolution in Turkey with a holistic perspective and process tracking will also make a significant contribution to understanding the course of Iran-Turkey relations.
