Abstract (EN)

In this study, the aim is to investigate the transformation of national movements in Turkey. Because, in Turkey, Turkish nationalism that carries the idea of founder honour has never been a monotonous expression, and also it has showed very rich point of view at a very wide backround. As stated mainly; Ottoman's last age and the role, dominant chracter in the decleration of Turkish Republic, until this day Ottoman continued its efficiency as social, political and cultural expressions and also the nationalism reality that as decomposed inside itself composes the thesis focal point. After the birth of the Turkish nationalism and national press, from the point of the 'ideas' against the investigation of new circumstances, solution suggestions, alternative thesis, ideas, and ideals, from the beginning to the end, within the idea of demand to the investigation of the transformation of nationalist idea movements, this thesis has been done. As the subject to this thesis, investigation of approximate one hundred years of press organs' 'nationalism fact' that is conjunctrual, everytime and again newly identified according to the age's realities and competitors, had occured as much points of view. As directly, is wanted to be shown which mental constructions within this movement's nationalist writings on their own press organs and processes play role. In the first section of the thesis, the theorical side of the nationalism is investigated within the concepts and historical process. The study's second part is seperated for the historical development of Turkish nationalism and nationalist press. At the study's third part, the transformation of nationalist idea movements is analysed within nationalist press.
