Türkiye'deki serbest bölgelerin mücadeleleri

The purpose of this investigation is analyzing the impacts of Turkish free trade zones on Turkish export volume. Beside this, discovering success of free zones by drawing foreign investment, transferring of high- technology and stimulating them to produce heavy industry. Initially, the present status of the free trade zones are located in Turkey were analyzed in detailed in accordance with the number of companies and their workers, number of foreign and domestic firms, field of industry. In addition, these zone's trade volume were analyzed according to their license types they have given to companies. License types are vary manufacturer, buyer and seller. The data were obtained from Turkish statistic foundation and related free zone's management and their official websites. As a result of analysis, free trade zones in Turkey have not remarkable impact on Turkish export volume. However they have a considerable impact on Turkish import volume. Researcher can find out the reasons and ways how to increase contribution of free zones on Turkish export. In that way, this study can be developed by researchers in the future.
