The reasons of the emergence of 1994 and 2001 crises, buildup process, general impacts to the economy and the characteristics of stabilization programs applied for the post-crisis period with the consequences obtained

One of the main characteristics identifying the Turkish economy historically is its prone to crisis nature. In this thesis, the crisis conditions witnessed by the economy for the post-1980 period has been tried to be investigated. For this purpose, at first, a theoretical distinction related to the economical crisis approaches has been featured, and then, the sensitivity of the Turkish economy to the crises has been discussed in a general perspective, and in line with these explanations the reasons of the emergence of 1994 and 2001 crises, the buildup process, the general impacts of the crises on the economy, and the post-crisis period developments have been evaluated by utilizing an extensive literature review.
