Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study was determined to research whether the Eucalyptus leaves sold as Eucalyptus globulus in the markets belong to E. globulus or not.The leaves that belong to 3 Eucalyptus species (E. camaldulensis, E. globulus and E. grandis) were collected in the Tarsus Karabucak Eucalyptus forest and used in comparison. The samples of the market were obtained from the akthars in provinces of Ankara, Konya and Mersin in 2008.The samples were compared with the leaves used as comparison material in morphological and anatomical ways. Leaf extract and essential oils were compared to TLC and comparison materials, too.As a result of the mentioned analysis above, It?s understood that all the samples didn?t belong to E. globulus, but they belong to E. camaldulensis. In conclusion; It?s identified that the leaves sold as E. globulus or officinal species belong to E. camaldulensis that?s non-officinal.
