Abstract (EN)
Although Turkey has a large amount of the marble rezerves existing in the world, its share in the world marble trade is only 1 %. There are many factors which affect the development of marble sector in Turkey. One of them may be most important one, is high level of tax burden in this sector. Marble mines pays indirect taxes about 15 % more than other economic activities. In addition to income tax, there are many other financial burdens such as 5 % state share, 5 % mine fund share, 2 % local government share, 2 % finding share and 1 % informing right. A reduction in tax burden will contribute the development of marble sector in Turkey as well as the efficient use of marble resources. tCYÛKSEKÖ?RETİMKORüLü
