Evolution of architectural photography in Turkey

From the time the first living areas appeared as architectural structurescreated by human by transforming nature they have been the best documentaryevidence of the changes in history. Century has appeared in the period of Otoman Empire. Inthis period architectural photography was practised for documenting the placesthat people was not able to visit. In the period of Turkish republic, photographyhas been changed into a different using practice and become an instrument inorder to spread the revolution made by the new administration. The efforts inphotography made in the first years of Republic have been changed over timetogether with the social transformation and become an independent language.In our time, by conceptual transformations, the architectural photographycreated new areas and different ways of expressions for itself. In the architecturalphotography shots made for promotion, advertisement, publication, trading andindivudial works a transformation began to be experienced thanks to the efforts ofsome individuals. The architectural photograph which was created in Westernworld has created in time an original language. However the samples of this kindphotography has not reached our country yet. When the problems of educationwhich is the biggest lack of this art are solved we believe that the original Worksthat is able to interrogate this concept would begin to appear.
