Abstract (EN)
The Eagean Sea (Islands Sea) Dispute existing between Greece and Turkey is a heritage from Ottoman Empire to Turkey and also it is still a current matter due to the jeopolitical and stratejical importance of this region. Suggesting Turkey as a disagreeable country in the international platforms for getting some rights and advantages, the Greece is acting towards its ultimate goal of Megali dea. There is a possibility of Greece?s hostile acts which may be considered as casus belli and turning into conflicts on the Eagean Sea. Consequently, these acts appear as a threat in this region. The Eagean Sea (Islands Sea) Dispute is studied from many points and explained by historical viewpoint. Turkey and Greece are putting forward various claims regarding the issue. International organizations like UN and EU want and expect a peaceful solution from two sides. But Turkey knows very well that peaceful solution doesn?t necessarily mean giving concessions to other side. Consequently, the disputes should be appreciated as rationalistic and just viewpoint.
