Abstract (EN)
In this study, the export of Turkey automotive sector has been evaluated and automotive sector?s export performance has been tried to determine. It is used comparative export formula to determine performance. After 1990, Turk automotive sector enter a new structural process. The sector has started producing in international standarts and exporting to world market. While the share of Turkey automotive sector?s export was very small in 1990, this share rose 0.3 percent in 2000 and 1.0 percent in 2005. After entering to Customs Union, when automotive export performance of Turkey compares with world automotive export and Turkey?s other sector exports, automotive export has continuously increased. Especially after 2002, automotive sector in both Turkey and the world has showed a performance over the world automotive export average. The main factors which affect automotive export performance of Turkey are; foreign capital investment, geographical place of Turkey in the world, quality of labor force, owning to a powerful automotive part industry and advantages of our entrance to Customs Union.
