Abstract (EN)
In today's world, identity titles are increasingly gaining importance for TV channels through the opportunities offered by evolving technologies and in collaboration with various fields such as communication, marketing, and motion graphic design. In this study, which presents a comparative analysis of the identity titles of TRT (TRT1, TRT2, TRT Sports, TRT Kids) and private TV channels (TV8, Kanal D, Fox, Show TV, ATV, Star TV) in the context of visual communication design, the titles were examined using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method. When the findings of the study are compared from visual communication design framework it can be seen that there are differences between title designs of TRT channels and private channels in terms of design and visual language. There are differences between TRT Channels and private channels regarding colour pallette, visual effects, music sound, and design style. In the identity title designs of TRT channels, it is seen that national elements come to the fore in the context of music, destination selection (Cappadocia, Göbeklitepe), representation of important days (national bayrams), visuals (Turkish flag, eight-pointed star).
