Abstract (EN)
Almost every country in the world is benefiting from wind energy in various forms. Turkey is in a very advantageous position compared to other countries in tihs regard, interms of wind power because it has a very serious potential. The estimated potential is nearly 60,000 MW. In this study, the develop of wind energy and Turkey's wind energy potenrial was examined. Further detailed made literature related to Turkey's wind energy potential. Finally, the wind energy potential was calculated by Weibull distribution using the wind speed data of 2016-2017 for Mersin, Anamur.
