Assesment for the effects of vegetable seeed foreign trade policies followed in Turkey through swot and sor analysis: İn the province of Antalya

In this study, the importance of vegetable seed sector in the economy and foreign trade of Turkey have been emphasized along with the problems and expectations of vegetable seed importer and exporter companies in the province of Antalya. In an attempt to assess the effects of foreign trade policies followed in Turkey, 45 vegetable seed companies in the province of Antalya have been surveyed in terms exportation and importation and the data obtained from face to face interviews entered into SPSS have been evaluated via SWOT and SOR Analysis. SWOT Analysis is a strategic planning method discussing strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats of the phenomenon while SOR Analysis is defined as a strategic improvement process using the outputs of SWOT Analysis. Due to the fact that the vegetable seed exporter and imported companies are few in numbers in the province of Antalya, complete count method have been used and the survey have been directed to whole population. As a result of surveys and interviews carried out, several recommendations have been developed for future studies.
