Agricultural supports and the agricultural sector in Turkey

The whole process from the production of plant and animal products to the marketing is called agriculture. The agricultural sector has a very important and indispensable place, especially in terms of the geography we live on. From past to present, a significant part of our country has obtained its income completely from agriculture and continues to do so. Therefore, developments, changes, expectations, etc. in the agricultural sector. economically important. This study will contribute to the literature as one of the few studies on agricultural supports and the agricultural sector in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. In addition, one of the features of the study that should be emphasized is that it analyzes the effect of agricultural supports on certain variables (Agricultural productivity, agricultural areas, agricultural exports, agricultural production) that can be considered important in terms of agriculture. In this study, a panel data set covering 9 provinces of Turkey and the period between 2000-2020 was created and the relationship between agricultural supports and agricultural productivity, agricultural areas, agricultural exports, agricultural production was analyzed with the help of econometric models. The results of the econometric estimation analysis revealed that there is a generally positive relationship between agricultural supports and agricultural productivity, agricultural areas, agricultural exports and agricultural production.
