Conceptual metaphors of perception verbs in Turkey Turkish

This study aims to explain conceptual metafors in perception verbs of the Turkey Turkish. With the help of the other cross-linguistic studies in the literature; meaning extensions and meaning mappings are defined and verbs are categorized based on their types. In this manner, it is shown that which meaning fields are related to the meanings of perception verbs in Turkey Turkish. In this paper, primarily cross linguistic studies and their standpoints are represented. Afterwards, the theoretical frameworks are deliniated and perception verbs and their meaning structures are described. Eventually, collected data were analyzed and the final notions are specified in the findings part. In the conclusion, a general and orderly assessment about perception verbs in Turkey Turkish are put in the words. An attemp was made to enlighten the meaning extension and hierarchy among the perception verbs in Turkey Turkish with the statistical informations.
