Abstract (EN)
The taxonomic classification of plant species is basically depends on the morphologic and anatomic characters, but because these features are changable and sometimes difficult to observe, it is necessary to support by molecular techniques such as SDS-PAGE, RFLP, RAPD-PCR. RAPD-PCR is the most advantageous method because its being economic, fast and less complicated. RAPD-PCR can detect the polymorphisms easily and doesn't need genomic information. The genetic distances among some species of Afyssum L. (Brassicaceae) growing in Turkey is determined by using the SDS-PAGE and RAPD-PCR methots. 42 primer were used in RAPD-PCR and 5 of them gave polymorphic bants. Genetic distances were calculated for each species by using the results of SDS-PAGE and RAPD-PCR then dendrograms were obtained. Science code Key Words
