Abstract (EN)
Two-phase flow in pipes is often encountered in engineering applications. A liquid containing gas bubbles flowing in a pipe of different cross-sectional area is a simple example of two-phase gas-liquid flow. In this study, gas-liquid flows in horizontal pipes for inserted and non- inserted pipes are examined to fill up this deficiency in literature. In the first step, experimental results will be compared with empirical methods. Especially slug flows will be examined in a detailed manner using both empirical calculation methods and experimental results. Therefore, differences between flow parameters of inserted and empty pipe will be investigated. Particularly, variations of flow regimes with respect to gas, liquid flow rates and eccentricity of two pipes will be determined. Key words: Two phase flow, flow in horizontal pipe, gas liquid flow m
