Abstract (EN)

The control of ac motors, which have a wide use in industry and home applications, is very important in terms of both the operation of the system driven by the motor and the efficient use of electrical energy. However, controlling these motors more efficiently is only possible with the use of a good driver. In recent years, threephase three-level T-Type inverter has become popular for low voltage, low and medium power motor drive applications. In this study, the field oriented vector control of a SMSM fed from a three-phase three-level T-Type inverter is simulated. MATLAB/Simulink and Simscape blocks are used in the simulation. The Space Vector DGM method is preferred for the control of the three-level T-Type inverter. In the simulations, SMSM is run at various speed references with and without load. The figures showing the changes in the speed, torque, rotor position, d-q currents and stator currents of the motor, the phase-to-phase voltages produced by the inverter and the inverter DC-line voltages are given. All obtained simulation results show that three phase three level T-Type inverter based SMSM driver has good dynamic performance.
