Abstract (EN)

This study is a qualitative research on the social integration processes of Moroccan women who married Turkish men and settled in Kütahya. With the increasing prevalence of transnational marriages worldwide today, some Moroccan women have begun to marry Turkish men and start living in Turkey. One of the provinces where these Moroccan women predominantly reside is Kütahya. Through interviews, the reasons behind these women's marriages to Turkish men, and their experiences in learning the language, adapting to dietary habits, family life, social life, and their environment were examined. The study aimed to understand the challenges they face in Turkey and the coping strategies they develop to adapt to these challenges. Face-to-face semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 participants living in central Kütahya between March 1 and April 1, 2023. The data collected from the interviews were analyzed and evaluated using thematic analysis.
