Abstract (EN)
The topic of this study is the displaced people who are the victims of forced migration asylum seekers, refugees and internally displaced persons in this respect the status of those who are forcibly removed from their lands within their own countries is being discussed in the frames of the International Law. The main arguement of this study is that today?s accepted three item classification for the people who are forcibly removed from their lands as being asylum seekers, refugees and internally displaced persons is actually a political classification and that a fact which should be based on human rights is confined in narrow govermental interests and rhetoric. This study consists of four parts. In the first part, migrations in general terms and forcible removal of people make the topic. In this respect historical political and theoretical backgrounds of migrations is studied, and then the concept of forced migration and the factors that lead to forced migration and their cosequences are covered. In the second part, the right of asylum and the status of asylum seekers make the topic. In the third part of the study, in the concept of intenational law, the status of refugees who are another one of the groups of people that are mainly removed from their lands is being assessed in the regyme of the international refugee rights that was establihed for these people. In the fourth and the last part of the study the question of the people who are removed from their land within their own countries and protecting them under the terms of the international law is being discussed.
