Turkish National Commission for UNESCO training activities (1949-2011)

In this research, as a reason and as a result of Turkish National Education Policy , the historical periods of educational activities- between the years of 1946-2011- of Education National Committee of UNESCO Turkey National Commission ,have been evaluated both functional and structural.This research is important as it contains informations about in which conditions and for which purposes Turkey National Commission of UNESCO was founded with regard to the country?s economical ,social , political and cultural situations. And it also reveals what kind of educational studies have been done, how they showed advancement from foundation to nowadays.The datum have been compiled by taking into consideration Turkey National Commission of Board of Directors Reports that were published in mentioned periods. Data analysis is made in accordance with historical analysis model.In this research , we come through with the fact that UNESCO has been very supportive to our country from primary education to non-formal education ,from educational equalization to international training cooperation. And what is more, UNESCO has been helpful to Turkey in every area in addition to education to advance ,to take right decisions and to get right results.
