Nanobiotechnology education of biology teaching programme students studying at educational sciences at universities

Abstract (EN)

In this study, nanobiotechnology interest and knowledge of candidates of teachers who are presently studying at Biology Teaching Programme in department of Educational Sciences.First of all in this research, information about fundamental notions of nanobiotechnolgy is tried to be obtained. An opinion collecting questionnaire contsisting open ended questions is applied to a group of students studying at Gazi University Biology Teaching Programme in 2007-2008 spring semester for collcting their opinions.The developed questionnaire is applied to the students at classes 2,3,4, and 5 at Gazi University Biology Teaching Programme in 2008-2009 fall semester. Results are analysed in SPSS programme.The questionnaire was applied to 107 biology education students from Gazi University of Ankara. SPSS 13.0 Statistical Program was used to analyze the data.Finally, level of having a knowledge of nanobiotechnoogy does not have an meaningful differentiation in according to sexuality, the secondary school of graduation, age and academis success. On the other hand, it is determined that there is a positive connection between education level of the students and nanobiotechnology.
