Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine situational anxiety levels of high level judoists participated in Masters Turkey Championship in 2009 and effects of these levels on their performance.The group of the study is composed of 263 sportsmen and sportswomen.Situational anxiety inventory is used to determine anxiety levels of sportsmen and a survey has been prepared to reach personal information of them.For evaluation, chi-square,frequency, T test and one way tests have been used. Some comparisons have been done and evaluations have been used about sportsmen?s gender,age,marital status,educations,how long they have been in judo sports and weekly training schedule. In addition , it is determined that data is homogeneous and after analysis there are differences among variables.Subjects who joined to this survey are between 21-23 years old (n:%30,4).Most of them are male with a rate of (%64,6).Most of the subjects are graduated from high school.Their education level,ages and genders have an effect on their situational anxiety levels.To improve judo sport,it is necessary to give importance to judo training and to base the trainings on scientific basis.Also,it is emphasised that all these studies should be managed by trainers who has an academic career and studies should be carried out in scientific methods regarding sportsmen?s physical and psychological manners.
