Abstract (EN)

Quantity of active substance in Piroxicam containing tablets has been determined with UV spectroscopic and non-aqueous medium methods 0.1 M sodium hydroxide was used as a solvent in UV spectroscopy and quantitative determination was performed at maximum absorption wavelength which is 348.6 nm. Acetonitrile was chosen as a solvent in non-aqueous medium method and then 0.0203 M tetrabutile amonium hydroxide solution was used as a titrant. Later on, end point was determined potentiometrically. Finally, results of both methods were compared statistically with respect to accuracy, and precision.
