Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of edible packages on shelf life and storage quality changes of service tree fruits were investigated. In this study, maturing fruits of 60TM60 genotype were used. Fruits were divided into 3 groups. These are control (water applied only), Semperfresh ™ (50% concentration) and Wax (Nipro Fresh PCW 50) applications. After the edible coating was applied to the fruits, they were placed in plastic sealed packages (500-750 g capacity). Then, the fruits placed in plastic crates were placed in a normal atmospHeric storage medium containing 0 ° C - (+2 ° C) and 85-90% relative humidity. It was kept in cold storage for 3 months. After 90 days of storage, different results were obtained depending on the applications. The least weight loss (1.15%) was found in fruits with Wax application. Applications on total soluble solid(%), acidity(%) and pH changes were better than control. The storage life of the control fruits was 1 week shorter. The best results on respiratory rate were obtained from Semperfresh (553 ml CO2 / kg.h).
