Abstract (EN)

This research focuses on the analysis of the inaugural speeches of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, may Allah be pleased with them, after they assumed power, in light of argumentation theory. Through this analysis, the research aims to identify the methods of argumentation employed in these speeches and to extract the various argumentation terminologies that regulate its usage and application. To achieve this, the study has selected a corpus titled "The Speeches of the Rightly Guided Caliphs After Assuming Power," and it examines the concept of argumentation in both classical and modern theoretical sources. The study also defines the categories of argumentation and its methods of practical implementation, clarifying the terminologies within this field of knowledge, which has recently gained attention, particularly within what is called New Rhetoric. This rhetoric is grounded in the Aristotelian concept of argumentation and its three pillars: logos, pathos, and ethos.
