Abstract (EN)
Accessibility aims to ensure equal and independent participation of individuals in every aspect of life. The accessibility of campuses, especially, plays a critical role in enhancing social participation. This study aims to identify areas unsuitable for individuals with orthopedic disabilities through campus analysis conducted using remote sensing techniques. Remote sensing techniques, facilitated by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), provide a detailed examination of the campus environment, strengthening the potential for detecting accessibility barriers and proposing solutions. The analysis evaluates the campus environment from the perspective of individuals with orthopedic disabilities, digitally modeling features such as sidewalks, ramps, pedestrian crossings, accessible parking, and stops. The significance of the thesis lies in creating a detailed database for accessibility analysis for people with disabilities. This database enhances the accuracy of the analysis, providing concrete recommendations to campus management, planners, and other stakeholders to create an inclusive and accessible environment. The developed method contributes significantly to evaluating the campus environment's compatibility with individuals with disabilities, fostering the creation of a more harmonious and accessible setting. However, the study lacks a specific assessment for individuals with sensory impairments, highlighting the need for advanced remote sensing techniques and methodologies for complete accessibility in future endeavors.
