At the present day, the importance of distance learning which supports the formaleducation and is an alternative way to it, is increasing more and more. In conjunctionwith the globalization the circulation of knowledge has increased, benefiting most fromknowledge and the technologies of acquiring it have been developed. In this process theconcept of distance learning has been used frequently.It is seen that today the distance learning arouses more interest than in the past and thereare many studies in practice and theory to be developed in this field. The interest to thisfiled lies at the root of equal oppurtunity, lifelong learning, development of quality andquantity, in-service training, career development, the symbol of knowledge as power. Onthe other hand, new conceptions and changes in designing the distance learning systemshave come up by the scientific and technological developments.The rapid development of the distance learning is going to enable people to prefer thedistance learning, therefore; the use of this system is going to increase. As a result ofthis, habits of learning is going to help raising people who can keep up with the times,open to improve themselves and has adopted the idea of ?Lifelong Learning?.
