Abstract (EN)

In this study, in the east of the country and also in Turkey's largest lake, Lake Van where the rainfall-flow relationship in a closed basinand its effect on lake level change will be examined. The purpose of this research is toreve altheshape of thera infall, the amount, the distribution of the season, and the effect of the resulting current on the lake level change, which is considered to be the most important reason for the change of level of Van Lake. For this, the temperature and humidity conditions and the evaporation intensity, precipitation values, annual amounts of the flows of the pond streams and their effect on the lake level change have been tried to be shown with different approaches. Inparticular, the climate of the Van basin was investigatedand the climate elements such as temperature, pressure, winds, humidity and precipitation and hydrographic characteristics were studied extensively. Because, without understanding these factors, we believe that the reasons2 for the change of level of Van Lake will not be understood sufficiently. As in all closed basin lakes, level change in Van Lake is thought to lead to major problems good understanding of the causes of the level change, which is the source of these problems, will make it easier for us to produce solutions. An increaseor an increase in the level of the lake may lead to different natural disasters as an additional reason for this research.
