Abstract (EN)
In the study titled as ?Revocation of testament? significances of the subject have been primarily explained and the former regulations on the subject starting with the Roman Law have been examined. Furthermore, regulations of Islamic Law on the subject have also been summarized.According to articles 542 et seq. of Turkish Civil Code, a testament can be withdrawn with these four processes:1) by a secondary testament which only contains testator?s consent of revocation or,2) by a secondary testament which is conflicting with the first testament or,3) by destruction of the testament or,4) by transaction of goods and rights which are issued at the testament.These four processes for revocation has been analyzed comparatively with civil jurisdictions, Swiss - German Laws and it has been expressed that the revocation of a testament could be conditioned and partial.
