Abstract (EN)
The gaming industry has made significant progress in recent years and companies in the sector are seeking to apply new methods to maximise their revenues from almost every potential user. Microtransactions and their effects on the consumer have an essential place at this point. With the inclusion of microtransactions in the gaming industry, companies are shifting from one-time revenue generation to continuous revenue generation from the games they produce and distribute. This critical aspect of microtransactions also has crucial effects on the consumer. In this study, to examine the impact of microtransactions on consumer behaviour in Türkiye, achievement perception and game experience factors were identified, and the findings obtained from the survey data were tested and analyzed. The obtained data were tested with linear comparison methods and Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) sampling suitability measure and Bartlett's test of sphericity were used as criteria for the analysis of factors. The reliability of the data included in the analysis was calculated according to Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. Pearson normal distribution test was applied for correlation analysis and one-way Anova Post Hoc test was applied in accordance with each sub-heading in order to explain the sub-units of the results. According to the results obtained, simple linear regression analyses were performed for each sub-heading and the results were obtained by testing the hypotheses according to the findings obtained.
