Abstract (EN)

Mung bean is an important legume plant grown in tropical and subtropic climatic conditions in the world. The richness of this agricultural plant in terms of nutrient content and its readiness to harvest in the short term makes it an important grain legume in plant rotation systems. Agriculture of grain legumes such as lentils, chickpeas and beans are widespread in Turkey. Therefore, genetic and molecular studies are mainly carried out in these plants. Although mung beans lag behind other legume plants in terms of research, they are cultivated in Southeastern and Eastern Anatolia Regions. Studies of molecular characterization and genetic diversity of mung beans in Turkey have not been found during the literature review. Mung bean studies until this time focused on phenotypic and agricultural importance in general. This situation severely limits the proper evaluation of genetic resources due to lack of information to be able to be evaluated in terms of genetic diversity. The aim of this study is to determine genetic diversity with the help of RAPD and ISSR marker systems after phylogenetic analysis and diagnosis by DNA barcoding in mung bean seeds from which morphologically similar ones are collected. In this study, genetic diversity and phylogenetic analyzes of mung bean culti-genes collected from agricultural seeds in Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Ankara and Malatya will be carried out using RAPD, ISSR and DNA barcode marker systems. Our study is the first study of genetic characterization of mung bean population in Turkey.
