Examination of the relationship between the individual and social responsibility behaviors of volleyball athletes and the feeling of community in sports

The purpose of this research; It is the examination of the relationship between the individual and social responsibility behaviors of volleyball players and the sense of community in sports. 619 athletes voluntarily participated in the research. Easily accessible sampling technique was used in sample selection. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool in the research. The questionnaire used consists of three parts: Individual and Social Responsibility Scale and a Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher for the Feeling of Community in Sports Scale. The obtained data were analyzed with the SPSS package program. In addition to descriptive statistics; t test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson Moments Correlation test were applied. In conclusion; A positive and significant relationship was found between the scores of the volleyball players from the individual and social responsibility scale and the scores they got from the sense of community in sports scale. At the same time, it has been determined that gender, sports at home, sports category and training time affect individual and social responsibilities and sense of community. Social responsibility and a sense of community are important for athletes. Because athletes with these two concepts have respectful, sensitive, sportsman and moral values to nature and the environment. Therefore, it is recommended to train athletes with these concepts.
