Abstract (EN)

A novel electrochemical platform based with carbon nanotubes, yttrium oxide and tungsten has been developed for the voltammetric detection of methyldopa. The electrochemically activearea and charge transfer resistance (Rct) of the proposed electrochemical platform W@Y2O3/CNT/GCE were determined to be 0.227 cm2 and 143 Ω by cyclic voltammetric method(CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic method(EIS), respectively. This indicates that proposed material can be considered as a promising electrocatalyst. The performance of W@Y2O3/CNT/GCE was examined for methyldopa electrode process and compared with other electrodes. W@Y2O3/CNT/GCEimproved the voltametric behavior of methyldopa and exhibited an oxidation peak potential (Epa) of 0.488 V, which less than that of other electrodes. The potential shift and peak improvement ofmethyldopa indicated the higher electrocatalytic activity of electrode modified with W@Y2O3/CNT. W@Y2O3/CNT/GCE exhibited a working range of 2.0×10-8 – 1.0×10-6 M M with a detection limit of3.5×10-9 M (3sb/m) for methyldopa. The Voltammetric measurements showed enormousaccuracy andhigh precision for methyldopa in pharmaceuticals and biological samples.
