Abstract (EN)
In the extremity, leg length discrepancies may occured such a reason of after tumor resection and inadequate management of fractures, congenitally and subsequently acquired. To treat these discrepancies, there are many studies and devices about limp lengthening. These methods and devices have not only advantages but also have disadvantages. In this study, in order to eliminate the inequalities of extremity, a new lengthening plate system can used extra-skeletally is designed in accordance with the anatomy of the bone and produced on metal prototype to optimize the system. In this purpose, to ensure 1mm distraction per day by the mechanism motor-card-battery, a new lengthening plate system is designed and produced. Plastic prototype and metal prototype is produced in our laboratory with the equipment of 3D printer, lathe and miling machine.Consequently; developed plate lengthening system varies from the other lengthening systems which have already used. In additon, It?s thought that the plate system can be applied to patients of all ages, ease of application, minimize the encountered complications The success of the system in practice will be evaluated in animal study and according to the results, necessary improvments will be performed to be ready the system for using in clinical studies.
