Abstract (EN)
The experimental studies were carried out with the samples taken from theeffluent of the chemical treatment unit and discharge point of the wastewatertreatment plant of a pulp and paper industry. Firstly, properties of these two effluentswere compared with the required process water quality for direct reuse of theeffluents in the process. After then, a laboratory scale membrane filter system wasapplied to the effluents as an advanced treatment. TOC, COD, SS, pH, andconductivity analysis were carried out on the influent and effluent of the membrane.The experimental results were evaluated in term of utilization of membranetechnology to reclaim water for reuse as process water.
