Abstract (EN)

In this study, the musical characteristics of the classical period and Mozart's life were analyzed in three periods as youth, middle and maturity, and information about his violin concertos was given. In the research, harmonic and form analysis of the Second Violin Concerto in D Major K211 was made using the theorist W. Caplin's book "Classical Period Form Analysis" and information about the composition process was given. The characteristics of the music of the classical period are explained by referring to the art movements that prepared the period, the musical understanding and the principles and styles applied by the composers in their works. It is thought that Mozart shaped the music of the classical period with his own life, his approach to music and his musical works and influenced the composers who came after him. Mozart is a composer who is a representative of the musical understanding of classical period music with his works and also a composer who has made great contributions to the development of the concerto form. In order for a work to be performed in accordance with the characteristics of the period, it is thought that it is necessary and important to understand the character of the composer, his life according to the characteristics of the period he lived in, and to analyze how his works are processed with their harmonic and form structure. In this research, Mozart's life and the K211 Second Concerto in D Major are explained through the analysis of his works. It is thought that the analysis method applied in this research will contribute to understanding and performing Mozart's other works under the influence of the developments in his life. Today, W.A. Mozart's works are considered to be compulsory for violin students in conservatories and music education institutions according to the level in the curriculum. It is thought that studying Mozart's works will improve musicality, technique, style and school. Keywords: mozart, violin, violin concerto, form analysis, harmonic analysis
