Abstract (EN)
From the beginning of the 16 th. century until the beginning of the 20 th.. century, the Ottoman Empire ruled the geography of the present-day Syrian state for nearly four hundred years, in this process, the relations of the Arabs with the Ottomans advanced, The Ottomans mostly emphasized the religion factor in this region where the Arabs live. This led the Arabs to unite under the Ottoman flag. The departure from loyalty to the Halifax meant that the religion and the state were weakening. In this study, poems reflecting various positive or negative views towards Turks during the period of Syria under Ottoman rule in 19th. and 20th. centuries were discussed. Although these poems taken at some time have been published in favor of the Ottomans, it is often seen that poetry has become an instrument of the defamation policies against the Ottoman Empire. This study, which will focus on the Ottoman poetry, is composed of three parts: In section first; the purpose of the research, the subject, the limitations, the methods used in the study and similar works, the origin of the Turkish term, the existence and the figures of the Turks, the history of the Turks in present day Syria and the formation of thought in Syria. the second section; Following a general introduction to Syrian Arab poetry, 19th. century Turks will be discussed in Syrian Arab poetry. the third section. In the section; 20th. In the century Syrian Arab poetry will be evaluated in general and then the place of the Turks will be discussed in these poems. The study will then be summarized and the proposals made.
