Abstract (EN)

The Ottoman State added Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Egypt to its territory during the reign of Yavuz Sultan Selim. The Ottoman State started to apply its own organizational system to be permanent in these regions. The Emirate system started to be implemented in the starboard of Mount Cebel-i Duzuz, also known as Mount Lebanon, where the Druze were in majority. The Ottoman State ruled the Cebel-i Duzz Mountain with the Emirs chosen from the Druze families in the region. Cebel-i Dazı sanjak was administratively attached to Sidon State. Between 1788-1840, the Emir of Mount Lebanon, II. Bashir established his political relations with the Ottoman State through the governors of Sayda State. In the first half of the XIX century, the political relations between the Ottoman State and the Druze were researched and explained.
