Analyzing the phase changes of Bi-2223 superconductor ceramic structures with doping atoms using the XRD analysis methods

Abstract (EN)

In this work, BSCCO sample?s superconductive and structural properties were examined by XRD method which are prepared at 800, 820, 840, 845, 855 celsius degrees by order of sintering temperature.Samples were prepared by solid state reaction method. The powder was calcined at 780 celsius degrees for 20 hours in air. These powders were again calsined at 800 celsius degrees for 20 hours in air after a second intermediate grinding. Then samples were pelleted under 450-500 Mpa pressure. After all, samples were sintered at 5 different temperatures between 800-855 celsius degrees at 150 hours. For determinding, crystal structure, unknown phases we made XRD measurements. To get information about microstructure of the samples, we used SEM microphotographs.When we observed XRD pattern of the samples we found that 2223 high temperature phase is in dominant position for all samples. Nevermore there has been a 2212 low temperature phase and impurity phases. When the temperature increases about 845 Celsius degrees, 2223 phase peak?s intensity is also increases too and if the temperature increases more it declines. The density values for all samples were determined by using Arshimed methods. Density and porosity variation with sintering tempeture were investigated. SEM microphotographs have shown the microstructure, the sizes and orientation of superconducting grains as well as the pores between them.Keywords: BSCCO, X ray diffraction, superconductivity.
