Abstract (EN)

The deficiencies of years of practice in construction design and construction methods are one of the biggest problems of the construction industry. Not being able to foresee the problems that may be encountered during the construction phase while the design/project phase is still ongoing, not being able to detect errors and the resulting extension of construction times, not being able to plan and master the construction processes are among the biggest problems. When numerous reasons that could be added to these were revealed, a digitalization step that could establish broad interdisciplinary relationships became necessary. Despite the growth of the software industry, classical application processes in construction methods clearly show that it is time for a change. The first steps of this change are Building Information Modeling (BIM), which pioneers the most efficient use of technology. BIM is a project management system that presents the processes from the design phase of a project to the planning, implementation and post-stage steps in an integrated manner to all project partners in 3 dimensions. BIM is an information management beyond a software or program. In this study, BIM is defined and models for the use of BIM in infrastructure projects are presented. With the inferences obtained from study, it is aimed to project the use of BIM processes in infrastructure projects and to disseminate their use.
