Examination of heat insulation in building envelope and an example of a project to improve lodging of anadolu university lodging

In this study, thermal comfort conditions and heat problems of building envelope elements are put forward and then insulation materials and insulation systems that will prevent these thermal problems are investigated. Also, in the content of the study a project is carried out to decrease the thermal loss in Cl-block of Lodging of Anadolu University and heat loss of external walls in building envelope is analysed. Consequently, in the sample project thickness of optimum thermal insulation for different thermal insulation materials (EPS, XPS and rock wool) are calculated and according to these thicknesses its appropriateness to TS 825 is checked from the point of thermal resistance of building envelope.
