Identity of self, cultural transmission in semi-Turk and semi-German family

Due to temporary Migration understanding turns to the understanding of residing the migrated country in process of time, it causes to emerge the new socio-cultural and socio-economic structures. For examples, the new family structures have emerged in that development. In the consequence that A Turk, who has migrated to Deutschland, has married a German, new cultural structures have emerged as family structures.The aim of this study is to create to be learnt how cultural transmission in this family structures which has this form, has occurred and which cultural factors has been internalized. Besides, it aims to be understood that cultural factors which attendants, who have parents from two different cultures, have internalized in the life of their own and sense of self.The research is a field research which has been made sense of self of person, who has this family, and cultural transmission in semi-Turk and Semi-German Family. Field of research occurs from the young who are range of 19-23 ages and has semi-Turk and Semi-German Family in which live in Berlin, Deutschland. Research sampling occurs 30 attendants who has been selected with snowball sampling and had power of representative for field. Study is a qualitative research and it has been made observation with participation.Source people?s 19 are women and 11 are men. 18 of 30 attendants `fathers are Turk, mothers are German. 12 attendants? mothers are Turk and fathers are German. Ziya Gökalp?s ?Social learning Model? and ?good manners? approach have been used to explain the cultural transmission in families. It has been handled in under interpretive viewpoint in defining of sense of self of attendants.According to results of studies, attendants have internalized the manners for these and various cultural factors from parents who is both Turk and German. But attendants lead to internalize deliberately culture whose parents is Turk in subject as marriage and belief structure. It is determined that attendants have learnt the gestures and facial expressions belonged to German Culture from German Parents and group of friends. Many of attendants say that they feel themselves as Turk and react as German.Consequently, it has emerged that attendants have internalized factors belonged to Turkish Culture in their lives. Nevertheless, while they are determining themselves in sense of self, they state that they don?t see themselves either Turk or German.
