Abstract (EN)

An experimental pattern was employed in this study performed in order to research the effect of creative drama method on the development of conceptual narrative skills and the findings obtained were assessed. The study has been performed in two separate 6th class branches which are studying in Atatürk Intermediary School, Türkeli district of Sinop town. In the study in which the experimental pattern preliminary test ? final test with controlled group have been employed, in one of the classed selected objectively, creative drama activities having at base the comprehension and narration skills have been applied. When the effects of the creative drama are dealt with conceptually in terms of conceptual narration, it has been asserted that the perception and the perception associated processes play a significant role at the top of factors affecting the comprehension processes and the data obtained over the effects of creative drama on the development of language skill as well as miscellaneous models have been assessed. The scientific data on which the research is based and the results of the experimental research made in the light of these data, showed as well, that the efficient usage of the creative drama is more efficient that other methods in development of the conceptual narrative skills. The results of comparison of the test and control groups related to the study have proved the theory of the research. Key Words: Turkish Education, Creative Drama, Basic Language Skills
