Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACTIn the field of Classical Turkish Literature, verse dictionaries have a great deal of importance as well as prose dictionaries for the purpose of language teaching. The verse dictionaries were mostly written for teaching Arabic and Persian which were the culture and literature language in the period that they were written. The verse dictionaries were used for educating the children who were ready for education owing to the fact that rhyme and ?redif? were used in the verse dictionaries and the verse dictionaries were memorized more easily than the prose dictionaries. They were so important that they reflected the life of literature-culture, political and social aspects of their written period. Consequently most of the verse dictionaries have been interpreted and the period that they were written, have been understood better.Verse Dictionaries and their interpretations constitute an untouched field of our literature. Having a strong influence on didactic respect, these verses of which aesthetics respects remained in the background, were not both taken interest in Classical Turkish Poetry. However the Dictionaries and the Interpretations of these Dictionaries are important sources for helping to understand this literature beter. For that reasons we found it proper to make such study for gaining Nuhbe-i Vehbi to the literature. While studying on the thesis, before transcripted text, we gave some brief information about Sünbülzade Vehbi and his Works, Yayaköylü Ahmet Reşit Efendi and Şerh-i Nuhbe-i Vehbi. While Şerh-i Nuhbe-i Vehbi was being transcripted, we compared manuscript and printed copies of it and wrote the unreadable verses of Koran, hadiths and proverbs in Arabic. After transcripting the work, we made an index of the interpreted words and proper nouns. We wrote the Şerh-i Nuhbe-i Vehbi by aproximating it to Turkish (from the point of wiev of the language) and modernizing, we wrote round vowels in verbs (gelür?gelir, dinür?denir?) by their contemporary usage. Meanwhile we used the conjuction `ve? in Turkey Turkish instead of using `u,ü,vü? which were the classics of the Turkish Classical Poetry.Key Words: Verse dictionary, Interpretation , Şerh-i Nuhbe-i Vehbî ( The Interpretation of Nuhbe-i Vehbi)
