Abstract (EN)
Computer science, which has developed alongside technological developments, has gone through changes and developments in many areas. These changes and developments have become inevitable for new technologies and new methodologies in various fields such as art, science and sports. The developments in the field of architecture has led to the emergence of new methodologies. In the same peroid, with the briskly increasing interdisciplinary tendency to work in the field of architecture, the development of technological changes has provided the foundations for a new methodology. The new methodology that emerged in the field of architecture was "Building Information Modeling (BIM)". Although the foundations of the BIM methodology are based on technological infrastructures, it is formed on the concepts of cooperation and communication as a thinking infrastructure.Thereupon, the BIM methodology is not just a methodology that has emerged with a technological infrastructure, but a methodology that can be evaluated in a very broad scope. Within the scope of BIM methodology, various concepts such as interdisciplinary work, project life cycle, integrated project delivery and nD multiple dimensions are used in a wide variety of fields. With the progression and widespread use of BIM methodology, it has become inescapable for architectural education to adapt correspondingly to this methodology. However, BIM methodology has emerged in a distinctive way as of previous methodologies with the concepts of cooperation and communication on which it is based. This situation causes radical changes to be made for the BIM methodology in architectural education curricula. This thesis study aims to propose an educational model on how educational approaches to BIM methodology can be incorporated into architectural education curricula. The new education model to be developed will be attained with the T-type education approach, and it is planned to include the BIM methodology in architectural education by providing interdisciplinary working environments in architecture schools.
