Abstract (EN)
Daha sonra doldurulacaktır.This study aims to examine Yelken magazine, which was published between 1957 and 1978. Although it holds a significant place in Turkish literature, Yelken has not received adequate scholarly attention. Functioning as a multifaceted cultural platform, the magazine featured poetry, short stories, essays, translations, illustrations, and articles on art. Within the scope of this thesis, all 240 issues of the magazine have been analyzed. The texts were classified according to genre, structure, and content, and a chronological index was compiled. The study begins by evaluating the magazine's position within literary history, in conjunction with the cultural and political atmosphere of the period. Subsequently, the magazine's content and distinct publication periods are discussed in detail, and a chronological index has been prepared, making this research one of the first comprehensive academic studies on Yelken. The findings reveal that Yelken was not merely a literary journal but also served as a cultural archive that contributed to the literary memory of its era. In this regard, the thesis seeks to provide a valuable source for both the history of literary periodicals and modern Turkish literature studies. One of the most distinctive features of the magazine is its inclusion of visual artworks, such as the sketches of Bedri Rahmi Eyuboğlu's mosaic, which was awarded a gold medal at the 1958–1959 Brussels Expo. In addition to literary texts, Yelken prominently featured works by influential artists such as Tan Oral, Devrim Erbil, Ferruh Doğan, and Ersin Alok. Thus, the magazine emerged as a key actor in shaping the modern aesthetic of its time, not only through literature but also through visual arts.
